The Puget Sound Engineering and Scholarship Fund (PSE&SSF) is a non-profit corporation that encourages high school and college scholarship in science and engineering. In time we will broaden that mission to offer programs at the grade school level. We provide students with access to the resources necessary to succeed in studying, participating, and contributing as science and engineering professionals. In today’s world, this means providing financial resources to the widest range of students possible. The PSE&SSF is composed of active and retired scientists and engineers who volunteer without compensation.
Since 2001, the PSE&SSF has awarded over 154 scholarships to high school and college students throughout the Puget Sound area to pursue education in science or engineering. The awards ranged from $500 to $3,000 and totaled over $230,000. Over ninety-five percent of every dollar received has gone directly to scholarships. Recipients are chosen solely on the basis of demonstrated dedication to their studies, financial need, and contribution to their communities.
